Jamie has over 22 years of media experience as a broadcaster, board member, executive and consultant. Over the course of his wide-ranging career, he has notably launched and operated radio stations in the Calgary Region and continues to provide and produce programming for a variety of clients.
With a passion to serve his Community and Province, Jamie served as a Municipal Councillor for over 14 years with the Town of Okotoks and in Kananaskis Country. He was elected as the youngest member of council to ever serve Okotoks.
His extensive knowledge of Local Government, Governance, Tribunals, Policy and Broadcasting have supported and delivered programs and services representing the interests of residents and government in both the private and public sectors. He has served as a Member of the Alberta Transportation Safety Board, the Alberta Elevating Devices & Amusement Rides Safety Association, Foothills Regional Emergency Services Commission and many others.
Additionally, he sits as the Chair of The Tiessen Foundation an organization founded to support various charitable causes throughout Alberta. Additionally, Tiessen Umpires baseball through Calgary and Southern Alberta, and serves as a Calgary Flames Ambassador & season ticket holder for over 25 years.
